Plug and Charge Service
Terms and Conditions
1.1 Service Description
Plug and Charge is a charging feature provided by SnapCharge. Once you have successfully registered and activated this service, you only need to insert the charging gun into a compatible electric vehicle charging socket. The system will automatically verify the connection, start charging, and deduct the corresponding fees from your linked payment method. There is no need to manually confirm or operate within the app each time.
2. Registration and Activation
You must complete the registration of the Plug and Charge service within the SnapCharge mobile application, including binding a valid payment method (credit card or other supported payment methods). Once you confirm the activation of this service, it means you have clearly understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, and that every future charging session triggered by plugging in the charging gun will automatically initiate payment deduction.
3. Automatic Payment Deduction Mechanism You explicitly agree and authorize the following:

Once you have registered for the Plug and Charge service, each time the charging gun is successfully connected and charging begins, the system will automatically deduct the actual charging fees incurred (including electricity fees, service fees, idle fees, and other applicable charges) from your currently linked payment method.

The deduction amount will be based on the actual charging time, energy consumed, and the applicable charging rates at the time.

The system may perform a pre-authorization (pre-auth) before charging starts. This pre-authorization amount is for authorization purposes only; the actual deduction will be based on the actual usage after charging is completed.
4. Changing or Cancelling Payment Methods
You may add, change, or remove your linked payment methods at any time within the SnapCharge app. To avoid payment failures or service interruptions, it is recommended that you ensure your payment method is valid and has sufficient balance before charging. Changing the payment method will not affect the activation status of the service, unless you actively cancel the Plug and Charge function.
5. Cancellation of Plug and Charge Service
You may cancel the Plug and Charge service at any time within the app. After cancellation, plugging in the charging gun will revert to the mode requiring manual confirmation and payment within the app. Cancellation will not affect any charging fees that have already been incurred prior to cancellation.
6. Important Reminders and User Responsibilities

Automatic Payment Risk: After activating this service, any person who uses your linked vehicle or account to plug in and charge may trigger a deduction. You must properly safeguard your app login credentials and vehicle, and ensure that only authorized persons use them.

You are responsible for regularly checking the transaction records and account balance in the app. If you discover any unauthorized charging or deductions, you should immediately contact SnapCharge and provide relevant proof. We will conduct an investigation.

If the payment method becomes invalid, has insufficient balance, or is rejected by the bank, the system may suspend the charging service or incur additional handling fees. You shall bear the relevant responsibilities.

You agree that all fees incurred from using the Plug and Charge service shall be your sole responsibility to pay. You shall not refuse payment or request refunds (unless in accordance with the refund policy stated in these Terms).

SnapCharge reserves the right to suspend or terminate your Plug and Charge service at any time for any reason (including but not limited to security, technical, or compliance reasons) without prior notice.
7. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapCharge shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the following:

Your failure to properly manage your payment method or account;

Unauthorized use of your vehicle or account by any third party for charging;

Any issues arising during charging due to the vehicle, charging equipment, or any third-party reasons;

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including but not limited to loss of time or inconvenience).
8. Other Applicable Terms
This Plug and Charge service is subject to SnapCharge’s overall Terms and Conditions and other relevant terms. In the event of any inconsistency between this section and the general terms, this section shall prevail (only in relation to matters concerning Plug and Charge).

11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
